Just When You Think You’ve Seen It All, You Realize There Is No Bottom to Meanness and Hate. But, If We Ever Find The Bottom, It Will Be Covered With Republicans Trying To Get There First
In one of those “We Really Can’t Let These People Govern” moments, the Pima County Republican Party, which is in Gabrielle Giffords district, is raising money…..
Now listen.
… by raffling off a Glock 40. The same gun used to shoot Representative Giffords.
I’ll let you quit cringing before I continue.
Ready yet?
Okay. Here we go.
You don’t believe me, do you?
The Republican Party in Arizona’s Pima County, which is represented by Rep. Gabrielle Giffords (D-AZ), is in the midst of a fundraising raffle, $10 per entry.
The prize: the same model of gun that delivered a near-fatal blast to the Democratic lawmaker’s skull outside a Tucson grocery store in January.
Tucson is in Pima County.
Click the little one to get the big one. That’s a screen shot from their newsletter which I just took minutes ago.
I guess they couldn’t get the original, so they threw in three 12 round magazines, adjustable grips, and a case. Because that’s just what you need for your well regulated militia.
In Gabrielle Giffords’ district. Does the winner have to prove sanity or just that they have $10 and a need to shoot someone?
Thanks to Nancy for the heads-up and I do mean HEADS-FREEKIN-UP, FRIENDS.
This makes me so ashamed that I live in the same state with these cretins!
1I’m waiting for them to include Dick Cheney’s dream about his book’s anticipated effect on Washington.
2I know frat boys from TKE with more sense than that.
3Every time I think they can’t go lower they suprise me.
Your contemporary
4RepublicanLizard-Brain Party, where obnoxiousness is deemed a virtue. They are so low they have to look up to see a snake in the grass.
5Do keep in mind, Pima County is the closest thing to a bastion of liberal culture there is in Arizona.
Even Brian Miller, who also raffled off a gun, back in 2010 has the sense to be appalled. But his enlightenment is born of a harsh lesson. He got clobbered after he raffled off a gun. It was before Giffords and others at here meet and greet event were shot, but it was after her office had been shot at, if memory serves.
6There are no words….
that can be posted here. I respect your Momma too much.
7Gee, those guys are really sensitive. There are other words, but this is a family site.
8Would it make a difference if they offered a Colt 45?
9Juanita, can I have permission to share your posts with other blogs? I just posted this post to another blog’s comments without permission and don’t want to have problems.
Thanks in advance for your input,

Appalling
11Just when you think you have heard it all.
I’m speechless.
12Shaking my head in disbelief!
And they will all vote for Rick Perry if they can. He’s a champion of 2nd Ammendment rights according to my republican friends!
13Maritza – you can put a link to my blog anydamnwhere you want. Other sites, your email, garage sale announcements, bathroom walls … anywhere. I am honored.
Love and Fried Okra,

Robt – in my mind, raffling a handgun in Gabby Giffords’ district is poor taste and disrespectful to her and the precious folks who died. However, the fact that it’s the same make of gun that was used on her something shockingly hateful. We have a saying here in Texas that you don’t talk about nooses at the family’s dinner table of a man who was hanged. It’s something like that.
Susan
15You are very popular on Facebook today, JJ! It’s your own darned fault, of course. You keep writin’ all this good stuff that we just have to share with the world!
16Thank you Juanita!
