Hooter Toters On Wall Street

.

Help is on the way.

Time Magazine has a cover this week about the new Girls Gone Wall Street —

A while back, Juanita announced that she didn’t mind being called “bitch” because she knows what it stands for – Boys, I‘m Taking Charge Here.

“I imagine that Sheila Bair, Mary Schapiro, and Elizabeth Warren have been called the b word more times than they can count,” Juanita surmises, “and Lord knows they earned it – proudly.”

“Ya see, women understand that their boobs don’t get bigger by skimming profit.  They also understand the rules we taught our children: play fair, share, don’t cheat, and wait your turn, also apply to life in general and America in specific.”

“Honey, I know that when bugs throw a party, they don’t invite the chickens.  So all the little Wall Street bugs better scurry and find themselves another yard because the Momma Hens are here,” Juanita grins.

“You go, Girls, we’re all pulling for you.”

Elizabeth Warren is my idol. Have you ever seen her on TV? She doesn’t take an ounce of crap from anybody, especially a bunch of overpaid bazillionaire banker-thieves.

What do we have to do to get her to run for president in 2012? I’m not kidding.

This is, by far, the most profound thing you’ve written! My daughter is getting this, in a gilded frame!!
This should be required reading in every school cirriculum, even TX!

  3. FYI…Elizabeth Warren is a University of Houston graduate.

    Eat ‘em up, Coogs!

  5. Gabberflasted says:

I am old enough that my first vote was for JFK. I am absolutely ready for the fair sex to take over. We fat old white guys have pretty much screwed it up enough, that women can get a handle on it.

  6. Susan. Another provocative look at 3 front and center leading ladies. The 4 preceding opinions share my view. I would pay a few bucks to watch a debate between EW and any of the shallow thinkers Texas sends to Congress.

  7. I’d pay cash money too see any of those women tear apart the gas bags on Fox News.

  8. Hey Gabberflasted I’m so old I remember FDR and my first vote was for (blush) Ike and I totally agree with you and Bud. I just wonder why we old white F##t’s made such a mess and contine to make such mess of things. It’s not like we didn’t have access to information. Plus our parents that survived The First great depression contantly warned us to look out or we would head down the same path.

  9. Elizabeth Warren has the smarts to understand the Economics, the background to argue the points, and the style so anyone can understand her when she is talking. She’s plain speaking without making you feel that she lowered herself so you could understand her.
    What’s not to love?

I only go back as far as George McGovern but I have to agree that getting women and non-W.A.S.P. types into positions where they can get respect is two of the greatest things that has happened in my lifetime. When I think of the people I never would have had the opportunity to know were it not for Betty and Martin and Cesar (to name just a very few) I get real thankful. When I look around and see that there is still a Jeff Sessions, a Rush Limbaugh, and a Michele Malkin (to name just another few), Iremember just how much more work there is to be done.

I don’t know what happened to my font there. The part that got garbled should have said “I remember there is still a long way to go.”

  12. Elizabeth Warren is one very impressive woman and I’m so happy she is getting the recognition she deserves. I cancelled my subscription to “Time” when they last put the Wasilla Waste Plant on the cover, but I’m going to buy this issue today.

Thanks, Juanita, for such a wonderful post. The comments are great too.

Brooksley Born went up against these guys and lost. As an old white guy, I welcome the change.

  15. In general I like the feeling here. EXCEPT the idea that women are somehow immune from corruption. Call me cynical, but I expect to hear one of
these women’s names in scandal in the next 5. I admit I haven’t read the time article, I will. I don’t trust anyone with gov/Econ rep!
